# iDousyn vs MIDISynth Control

The clearest difference is price: MIDISynth Control at Free against iDousyn's $9.99. MIDISynth Control also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 34%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). iDousyn's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.4) and ratings volume (159 vs 12). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

MIDISynth Control is free to download; iDousyn costs $9.99 up front. iDousyn sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MIDISynth Control sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iDousyn holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iDousyn has 159 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of iDousyn's written reviews are positive against 64% of MIDISynth Control's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iDousyn ships an update every 2 months, MIDISynth Control every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
