# Gmail vs Ridmik Keyboard

The clearest difference is rating: Gmail at 4.7 against Ridmik Keyboard's 3.8. Gmail also leads on ratings volume (2.5M vs 677) and chart position (#4 vs unranked). Ridmik Keyboard's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gmail sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Ridmik Keyboard sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gmail holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gmail has 2.5M ratings behind it against 677, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Gmail's written reviews are positive against 36% of Ridmik Keyboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
