# NavRules vs Rule Master

The clearest difference is rating: Rule Master at 4.8 against NavRules's 3.9. Rule Master also leads on price ($9.99 vs $15.99) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 13 months). NavRules's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 43%) and device support (3 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases and chart position there is nothing between them.

NavRules costs $15.99 and Rule Master $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rule Master holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rule Master has 292 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of NavRules's written reviews are positive against 43% of Rule Master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NavRules ships an update every 13 months, Rule Master every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
