# Notes! vs NoteWorks

The clearest difference is rating: Notes! at 4.4 against NoteWorks's 3.9. Notes! also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 155) and device support (3 vs 1). NoteWorks's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 72%) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 14.4). On update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Notes! costs $3.99 and NoteWorks $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Notes! holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notes! has 1.4K ratings behind it against 155, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Notes!'s written reviews are positive against 83% of NoteWorks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notes! ships an update every 3 months, NoteWorks every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
