# iTimeLog vs Project Express

The clearest difference is price: Project Express at Free against iTimeLog's $1.99. Project Express also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). iTimeLog's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (76% vs 56%). On ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Project Express is free to download; iTimeLog costs $1.99 up front. Project Express sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. iTimeLog asks for nothing beyond the download.

Project Express holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iTimeLog has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of iTimeLog's written reviews are positive against 56% of Project Express's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iTimeLog ships an update every 5 weeks, Project Express every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
