# RIBnet Forums vs Tip

The clearest difference is rating: Tip at 5.0 against RIBnet Forums's 1.0. Tip also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). RIBnet Forums's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 18.6). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tip sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. RIBnet Forums asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tip holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tip has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RIBnet Forums ships an update every 2 months, Tip every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
