# EL AL vs Allegiant

The clearest difference is review sentiment: EL AL at 68% against Allegiant's 7%. EL AL also leads on rating (4.4 vs 2.8). Allegiant's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EL AL holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Allegiant has 8K ratings behind it against 1.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of EL AL's written reviews are positive against 7% of Allegiant's.

EL AL ships an update every 10 days, Allegiant every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
