# Countdown ‎ vs Inauguration Countdown Widget

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Inauguration Countdown Widget at none against Countdown ‎'s 5. Inauguration Countdown Widget also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). Countdown ‎'s advantage is review sentiment (34% vs 0%) and ratings volume (11K vs 15). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown ‎ sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 3 months. Inauguration Countdown Widget asks for nothing beyond the download.

Inauguration Countdown Widget holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown ‎ has 11K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Countdown ‎'s written reviews are positive against 0% of Inauguration Countdown Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Countdown ‎ ships an update every 2 months, Inauguration Countdown Widget every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
