# Countdown ‎ vs Evite

The clearest difference is rating: Evite at 4.8 against Countdown ‎'s 3.8. Evite also leads on ratings volume (518K vs 11K) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Countdown ‎'s advantage is review sentiment (61% vs 47%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown ‎ sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 3 months and Evite sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $79.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Evite holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Evite has 518K ratings behind it against 11K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Countdown ‎'s written reviews are positive against 47% of Evite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Countdown ‎ ships an update every 2 months, Evite every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
