# Countdown ‎ vs The Life App

The clearest difference is rating: The Life App at 5.0 against Countdown ‎'s 3.8. The Life App also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). Countdown ‎'s advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown ‎ sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 3 months and The Life App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Life App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown ‎ has 11K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Countdown ‎ ships an update every 2 months, The Life App weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
