# PSAT vs SAT Math Prep

The clearest difference is update cadence: SAT Math Prep at fortnightly against PSAT's every 12 months. SAT Math Prep also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). PSAT's advantage is ratings volume (59 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PSAT sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and SAT Math Prep sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SAT Math Prep holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PSAT has 59 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

PSAT ships an update every 12 months, SAT Math Prep fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
