# Record It! vs MarkNote Lite

The clearest difference is price: MarkNote Lite at Free against Record It!'s $0.99. MarkNote Lite also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 9 months) and rating (3.0 vs 2.7). Record It!'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (14% vs 0%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

MarkNote Lite is free to download; Record It! costs $0.99 up front. MarkNote Lite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Record It! asks for nothing beyond the download.

MarkNote Lite holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Record It! has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Record It!'s written reviews are positive against 0% of MarkNote Lite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
