# SMS Smileys vs QR Code Pro

The clearest difference is rating: QR Code Pro at 4.1 against SMS Smileys's 3.5. QR Code Pro also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 3 months). SMS Smileys's advantage is review sentiment (61% vs 32%) and price ($0.99 vs $2.99). On ratings volume, ads, chart position and device support there is nothing between them.

SMS Smileys costs $0.99 and QR Code Pro $2.99 up front. SMS Smileys sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. QR Code Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

QR Code Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 30 and 61 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of SMS Smileys's written reviews are positive against 32% of QR Code Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SMS Smileys ships an update every 3 months, QR Code Pro every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
