# ynet vs חמ״ל

The clearest difference is rating: חמ״ל at 3.3 against ynet's 1.8. חמ״ל also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9). ynet's advantage is chart position (#176 vs unranked) and ratings volume (225 vs 37). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ynet sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month. חמ״ל asks for nothing beyond the download.

חמ״ל holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ynet has 225 ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of ynet's written reviews are positive against 8% of חמ״ל's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ynet ships an update every 5 weeks, חמ״ל every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
