# CreatureVision vs Music Painter

The clearest difference is price: Music Painter at Free against CreatureVision's $0.99. Music Painter also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 15 months) and ratings volume (24 vs 1). CreatureVision's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and in-app purchases (none vs 2). On review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Music Painter is free to download; CreatureVision costs $0.99 up front. Music Painter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. CreatureVision asks for nothing beyond the download.

CreatureVision holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Music Painter has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of CreatureVision's written reviews are positive against 64% of Music Painter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CreatureVision ships an update every 15 months, Music Painter every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
