# Vide vs Fil

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fil at every 5 days against Vide's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vide sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and Fil sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.95 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vide ships an update every 3 months, Fil every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
