# IT Buddy vs Wi

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: IT Buddy at none against Wi's 3. IT Buddy also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and ratings volume (39 vs 7). Wi's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wi sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. IT Buddy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Wi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IT Buddy has 39 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of IT Buddy's written reviews are positive against 83% of Wi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IT Buddy ships an update every 6 months, Wi every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
