# GPS Tracks vs iPoint GPS

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: iPoint GPS at none against GPS Tracks's 3. iPoint GPS also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). GPS Tracks's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 67 months) and ratings volume (18K vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS Tracks sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per year. iPoint GPS asks for nothing beyond the download.

iPoint GPS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPS Tracks has 18K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GPS Tracks ships an update fortnightly, iPoint GPS every 67 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
