# GPS Tracks vs 3D Offline Maps

The clearest difference is ratings volume: GPS Tracks at 18K against 3D Offline Maps's 650. GPS Tracks also leads on chart position (#85 vs unranked) and device support (5 vs 3). 3D Offline Maps's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (15.4 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS Tracks sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per year and 3D Offline Maps sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for GPS Tracks against 4.6 for 3D Offline Maps. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPS Tracks has 18K ratings behind it against 650, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 85% of GPS Tracks's written reviews are positive against 80% of 3D Offline Maps's.

GPS Tracks ships an update fortnightly, 3D Offline Maps weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
