# GPS Tracks vs Altimeter Pro

The clearest difference is price: GPS Tracks at Free against Altimeter Pro's $0.99. GPS Tracks also leads on ratings volume (18K vs 9) and chart position (#84 vs unranked). Altimeter Pro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On rating, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

GPS Tracks is free to download; Altimeter Pro costs $0.99 up front. GPS Tracks sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per year. Altimeter Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for GPS Tracks against 4.7 for Altimeter Pro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPS Tracks has 18K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.
