# GPS Tracks vs Waypointer

The clearest difference is rating: GPS Tracks at 4.7 against Waypointer's 1.0. GPS Tracks also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS Tracks sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per year and Waypointer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GPS Tracks holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPS Tracks has 18K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GPS Tracks ships an update fortnightly, Waypointer every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
