# PrintDirect for iPhone vs Printer App

PrintDirect for iPhone and Printer App both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 74% of PrintDirect for iPhone's written reviews are positive against 38% of Printer App's. Printer App's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (25K vs 101). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PrintDirect for iPhone sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Printer App sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for PrintDirect for iPhone against 4.5 for Printer App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Printer App has 25K ratings behind it against 101, so its average is the more settled of the two.
