# Absolute Board vs Simple Whiteboard by Qrayon

The clearest difference is rating: Simple Whiteboard by Qrayon at 4.5 against Absolute Board's 3.6. Simple Whiteboard by Qrayon also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 12) and device support (3 vs 1). Absolute Board's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months). On price, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Whiteboard by Qrayon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Absolute Board asks for nothing beyond the download.

Simple Whiteboard by Qrayon holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Whiteboard by Qrayon has 12K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Absolute Board's written reviews are positive against 75% of Simple Whiteboard by Qrayon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Absolute Board ships an update every 2 months, Simple Whiteboard by Qrayon every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
