# global storms vs TornadoSpyLite

The clearest difference is rating: global storms at 4.5 against TornadoSpyLite's 3.3. global storms also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (13K vs 26). TornadoSpyLite's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. global storms sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and TornadoSpyLite sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

global storms holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: global storms has 13K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of global storms's written reviews are positive against 32% of TornadoSpyLite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

global storms ships an update every 3 weeks, TornadoSpyLite every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
