# CalConvert vs Timestamp Camera™

The clearest difference is ads: Timestamp Camera™ at none against CalConvert's shown. Timestamp Camera™ also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). CalConvert's advantage is ratings volume (6.4K vs 15). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CalConvert sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Timestamp Camera™ sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timestamp Camera™ holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CalConvert has 6.4K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CalConvert ships an update every 2 months, Timestamp Camera™ every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
