# Maps 3D Neo vs AR AlpineGuide

The clearest difference is ads: Maps 3D Neo at none against AR AlpineGuide's shown. Maps 3D Neo also leads on review sentiment (77% vs 42%). AR AlpineGuide's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (784 vs 56). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Maps 3D Neo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and AR AlpineGuide sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AR AlpineGuide holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AR AlpineGuide has 784 ratings behind it against 56, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Maps 3D Neo's written reviews are positive against 42% of AR AlpineGuide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Maps 3D Neo ships an update every 2 months, AR AlpineGuide weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
