# Maps 3D Neo vs Terra Map

The clearest difference is update cadence: Terra Map at every 3 weeks against Maps 3D Neo's every 2 months. Terra Map also leads on ratings volume (540 vs 56) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Maps 3D Neo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Terra Map sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Terra Map holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Terra Map has 540 ratings behind it against 56, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Maps 3D Neo's written reviews are positive against 74% of Terra Map's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Maps 3D Neo ships an update every 2 months, Terra Map every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
