The clearest difference is rating: Elmo Loves ABCs at 4.1 against Kid Calculator's 3.5. Elmo Loves ABCs also leads on update cadence (every 5 months vs every 13 months) and chart position (#51 vs unranked). Kid Calculator's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 52%) and price ($0.99 vs $4.99). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Elmo Loves ABCs costs $4.99 and Kid Calculator $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Elmo Loves ABCs holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Elmo Loves ABCs has 146 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two.
