# Cross Shooter vs Threes! Freeplay

The clearest difference is rating: Cross Shooter at 4.5 against Threes! Freeplay's 3.8. Cross Shooter also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Threes! Freeplay's advantage is ratings volume (625 vs 17). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cross Shooter holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Threes! Freeplay has 625 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Cross Shooter's written reviews are positive against 54% of Threes! Freeplay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cross Shooter ships an update fortnightly, Threes! Freeplay every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
