# TouchChat Discover vs Boom Cards

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Boom Cards at none against TouchChat Discover's 11. Boom Cards also leads on review sentiment (41% vs 21%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). TouchChat Discover's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.3) and ratings volume (102 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TouchChat Discover sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Boom Cards asks for nothing beyond the download.

TouchChat Discover holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TouchChat Discover has 102 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of TouchChat Discover's written reviews are positive against 41% of Boom Cards's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TouchChat Discover ships an update every 2 months, Boom Cards every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
