# TouchChat Discover vs PlayButton

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PlayButton at 100% against TouchChat Discover's 22%. PlayButton also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.7). TouchChat Discover's advantage is ratings volume (97 vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TouchChat Discover sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and PlayButton sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PlayButton holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TouchChat Discover has 97 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 22% of TouchChat Discover's written reviews are positive against 100% of PlayButton's.

TouchChat Discover ships an update every 2 months, PlayButton every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
