# TouchChat Discover vs SSL Now

The clearest difference is rating: SSL Now at 5.0 against TouchChat Discover's 3.8. SSL Now also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). TouchChat Discover's advantage is ratings volume (100 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TouchChat Discover sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and SSL Now sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SSL Now holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TouchChat Discover has 100 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TouchChat Discover ships an update every 2 months, SSL Now every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
