# DIVER MAGAZINE vs Needuum

The clearest difference is rating: Needuum at 5.0 against DIVER MAGAZINE's 4.3. Needuum also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). DIVER MAGAZINE's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DIVER MAGAZINE sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Needuum sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 6 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Needuum holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DIVER MAGAZINE has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DIVER MAGAZINE ships an update every 5 months, Needuum every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
