# magicplan vs LastTap

The clearest difference is ratings volume: magicplan at 41K against LastTap's 3. magicplan also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). LastTap's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. magicplan sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and LastTap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LastTap holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: magicplan has 41K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of magicplan's written reviews are positive against 60% of LastTap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

magicplan ships an update weekly, LastTap every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
