# Tasty Planet Lite vs Wool Island

The clearest difference is ads: Tasty Planet Lite at none against Wool Island's shown. Tasty Planet Lite also leads on ratings volume (259 vs 20) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Wool Island's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 9 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wool Island holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tasty Planet Lite has 259 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Tasty Planet Lite's written reviews are positive against 76% of Wool Island's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tasty Planet Lite ships an update every 9 months, Wool Island every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
