# GQ vs Margriet

The clearest difference is ads: GQ at none against Margriet's shown. GQ also leads on ratings volume (177 vs 1). Margriet's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GQ sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Margriet sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Margriet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GQ has 177 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GQ ships an update every 5 months, Margriet fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
