# GED vs CMAReview

The clearest difference is ads: GED at none against CMAReview's shown. GED also leads on ratings volume (666 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). CMAReview's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 7 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GED sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and CMAReview sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $15.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CMAReview holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GED has 666 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GED ships an update every 7 months, CMAReview every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively.
