# GRE vs GRE Prep & Practice by Magoosh

The clearest difference is ratings volume: GRE Prep & Practice by Magoosh at 11K against GRE's 172. GRE Prep & Practice by Magoosh also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GRE sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and GRE Prep & Practice by Magoosh sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
