# GRE vs GREify

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GREify at none against GRE's 1. GREify also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 months). GRE's advantage is ratings volume (174 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GRE sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. GREify asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for GRE against 5.0 for GREify. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GRE has 174 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GRE ships an update every 6 months, GREify every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and September 12, 2026 respectively.
