# GRE vs GRE Peanut

The clearest difference is ads: GRE at none against GRE Peanut's shown. GRE also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). GRE Peanut's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GRE sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and GRE Peanut sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GRE ships an update every 6 months, GRE Peanut every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
