# CycleMaps vs Bikemap

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Bikemap at 9.6K against CycleMaps's 3. Bikemap also leads on chart position (#107 vs unranked). CycleMaps's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (63% vs 41%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CycleMaps sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per year and Bikemap sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CycleMaps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bikemap has 9.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 63% of CycleMaps's written reviews are positive against 41% of Bikemap's.

CycleMaps ships an update every 5 days, Bikemap weekly. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
