# Guidebook vs The Lynx Net

The clearest difference is rating: Guidebook at 4.7 against The Lynx Net's 3.3. Guidebook also leads on ratings volume (3.7K vs 12). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Guidebook holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Guidebook has 3.7K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Guidebook's written reviews are positive against 57% of The Lynx Net's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Guidebook ships an update every 2 weeks, The Lynx Net weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
