# Guidebook vs Whova

Guidebook and Whova both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 92% of Whova's written reviews are positive against 52% of Guidebook's. Whova also leads on ratings volume (255K vs 3.7K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Guidebook against 4.8 for Whova. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whova has 255K ratings behind it against 3.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 52% of Guidebook's written reviews are positive against 92% of Whova's.

Guidebook ships an update every 2 weeks, Whova fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
