# zócalo. vs Excélsior

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Excélsior at 64% against zócalo.'s 27%. Excélsior also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). zócalo.'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (2.3 vs 1.9). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

zócalo. holds the better App Store score, 2.3 against 1.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of zócalo.'s written reviews are positive against 64% of Excélsior's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

zócalo. ships an update every 5 months, Excélsior every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
