# Pinterest vs Mininote

Pinterest and Mininote both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of Mininote's written reviews are positive against 35% of Pinterest's. Mininote also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Pinterest's advantage is ratings volume (5.8M vs 21K) and chart position (#2 vs unranked). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pinterest sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Mininote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Pinterest against 4.8 for Mininote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pinterest has 5.8M ratings behind it against 21K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 35% of Pinterest's written reviews are positive against 83% of Mininote's.

Pinterest ships an update weekly, Mininote fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
