# Brain Teaser Extreme vs Sci

The clearest difference is rating: Sci at 5.0 against Brain Teaser Extreme's 3.6. Brain Teaser Extreme's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 9 months vs every 26 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brain Teaser Extreme sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Sci sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sci holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brain Teaser Extreme has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Brain Teaser Extreme ships an update every 9 months, Sci every 26 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
