# Ziit vs Battery Testing

The clearest difference is rating: Battery Testing at 4.5 against Ziit's 4.0. Battery Testing also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (12K vs 2). Ziit's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Battery Testing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Ziit asks for nothing beyond the download.

Battery Testing holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Battery Testing has 12K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Ziit's written reviews are positive against 23% of Battery Testing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ziit ships an update every 12 months, Battery Testing fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
