# Dice vs Blueground

The clearest difference is rating: Blueground at 4.6 against Dice's 3.9. Blueground also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). Dice's advantage is review sentiment (66% vs 29%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dice sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Blueground asks for nothing beyond the download.

Blueground holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blueground has 4.1K ratings behind it against 54, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Dice's written reviews are positive against 29% of Blueground's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dice ships an update every 3 months, Blueground weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
