# AFR vs WBOB

AFR and WBOB both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of WBOB's written reviews are positive against 63% of AFR's. AFR's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (372 vs 6). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for AFR against 4.7 for WBOB. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AFR has 372 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of AFR's written reviews are positive against 100% of WBOB's.

AFR ships an update every 3 months, WBOB every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
