# AFR vs Hide

The clearest difference is rating: Hide at 5.0 against AFR's 4.6. Hide also leads on iOS requirement (12.1 vs 14.0). AFR's advantage is ratings volume (372 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hide holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AFR has 372 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AFR ships an update every 3 months, Hide every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
